Tuesday, April 22 is Earth Day, a day when we can take some time to think about our impact on the environment. We are asking students to try to bring a “litter-less” lunch on Earth Day. For example, students can bring their snacks in containers instead of plastic bags. Thanks for helping to show responsibility to the earth!
Check the website link below for more ideas on how to pack a litter-less lunch.

Fieldcrest is collecting non-perishable food items (food in cans, packages or boxes) to donate to our local food bank. The food we donate will be used to help people who live in our community. We will be collecting items for the food bank until Friday, April 11th. Let’s help to make a difference!
We had our monthly character assembly this morning to celebrate the character trait of optimism. Thank you to the Grade 2′s, the Junior Choir, and the Grade 8 dancers for three wonderful performances. You had the whole gym smiling throughout your songs and dances! Congratulations to all of the students who received an Optimism Award or Principal’s Award. Thank you for demonstrating positive character at Fieldcrest!

This past fall Fieldcrest raised $3190.05 for the Terry Fox Foundation at our annual Terry Fox Run. Way to go Falcons! This money helps to support cancer research and makes a difference in the world’s fight against cancer. Our school received a letter of appreciation from Rolly Fox, Terry’s father. You can read the letter by clicking on the link below.
